you cannot buy tights like these and then not take a picture after bellocq's photo of a prostitute in storyville, new orleans. that's just impossible. so here it is. it's a test as i took analogue pictures as well. and if you don't know who bellocq is, google it.

i collect vintage negatives and photographs and this is the most beautiful one i ever found, taken around 1900. a wealthy woman in a big house, holding a violin and posing so relaxed, so at ease with herself it seems. i wonder who she was and what her life looked like. there were more negatives in the box where i found this one but no more pictures of her.
